When my daughter, Sabrina, and I headed to Africa along with my friend Julie, I asked Sabrina what she wanted see on our safari (we did more than just the safari, but that was by far the biggest highlight for her, before and after). We got out a book of East Africa animals and started listing them out: lions, elephants, leopards…..and on and on. Luckily the list stopped at 11. And we spotted all but two of them (owl and bush baby). In no particular order, here are Sabrina’s own photos of the most important animals for her to spot in Africa.
Giraffes, we saw plenty!
Elephants!
Lions!
Springboks
Zebra, a dead one even!
Ok, here’s some living ones
Hippos a plenty
Cheetahs! And they were so cuddly looking.
Leopard, being lazy in a tree
Wild Dogs (coyotes count)
And there you have it! The big list of what was most important to Sabrina and he vision of those animals from Tanzania. Coming up, a post of the animals she didn’t even know existed until we reached Africa.
I love the hippos! Especially the baby ones!
When I saw hippos in the wild, I was surprised at how big they were.
Your daughter takes lovely photographs as well! I love the one of the hippos and the one of the lions walking away!
