Weekend Photography Challenge #9: CELEBRATION – 31+ Days To Better Photography

This week’s topis is: Celebration.

It can be big or small and if you don’t have one planned for the weekend, it’s time to get creative. This weekend I want you to concentrate on Aperture. Use Aperture Priority Mode and tell me why you used the setting that you did. If you’re not sure, take a moment to think about it was work it through. There’s no rush! You have until Monday night to post your results.

Here are my celebration photos http://memycameraeye.blogspot.com/2011/06/celebrating-at-last.html

1st image used f2.8 to blur out the background as much as possible although I still wanted the viewer to be able to make the background out.
2nd image used f4 once again to reduce background – though that was aided by it all being white, though there is a joining line in there and slightly narrower than the first to get more of the jar in focus.

Really enjoyed this challenge and it really helped me think about more of the effect I wanted to get with what I found myself doing this weekend. Thanks.
