Teton Sunset With Bonus Eagle Photos

Description: The weather has improved after a solid rainstorm in the night in Grand Teton National Park.

So much so that we had a classic sunset. But, as you may know if you’re in the know, the sun sets behind the towering peaks, making for tricky (and sometimes lackluster) photography.

Luckily, this time of year the angle of the sun still lit the sides of a few peaks as well as the clouds overhead.

As we were enjoying the sunset on the…beach? It’s not really a beach because Jackson Lake is about 15′ lower than the normal shore.

But anyway, as we were enjoying the weather, a bald eagle swoops overhead and lands in a tree just 50′ above our heads and back a little.
