Sunny | The Carey Adventures

From the bottom of the picture the viewer encounters the Merced River, cold in the Autumn time. On the banks behind the river are a plethora of colorful yellow-leaded trees in all their Autumn regalia. Looming over the trees in the background are granite cliffs of Yosemite Valley, just begging to be climbed. A hint of blue sky can be seen in the upper left side as there is not a cloud to be found anywhere on this November day.

Four kayaks sit on the back deck of a small 170' cruise ship waiting for passengers to hop in and take a paddle. Where are they paddling today? In the distance are towering peaks of Glacier Bay National Park. They rise up directly from the water with little to no shore. The mountains are about a mile away and speckled with patches of snow and green forest or shrubs down lower. There are wispy clouds and a slight rainbow has started on the left side of the frame. The blue sky, well, mostly blue, is reflected in the water and invites you to come play on the serene surface of this amazing National Park.

A calm bay in Southeast Alaska showing towering peaks rising directly from the waterline of a deep fjord known as Tracy Arm. The water is littered with glacial ice in the form of bergy bit, growlers and icebergs proper. There are blue skies with a few wispy clouds and the sun is out in magnificent form. And it was freezing cold, but hopefully all the ice conveys that.
