From the bottom of the picture the viewer encounters the Merced River, cold in the Autumn time. On the banks behind the river are a plethora of colorful yellow-leaded trees in all their Autumn regalia. Looming over the trees in the background are granite cliffs of Yosemite Valley, just begging to be climbed. A hint of blue sky can be seen in the upper left side as there is not a cloud to be found anywhere on this November day.
