Title: Sunshine In The Wadi Rum Desert, Aqaba, Jordan
Location: Aqaba, Jordan, Middle East (29°37’32” N 35°28’59” E)
Description: One of the most easily accessible and dramatic landscapes in Jordan is Wadi Rum. No special expertise is needed to reach the desert other than a car and once there, locals will help show you around the wadi (which means ‘valley’ in Arabic) including areas where Lawrence of Arabia used to hide out. By camel or by open-top Toyota trucks, the area offers beautiful natural architecture in every direction.
Photographically, I would love to return to this area and capture more distant, off-the-beaten-path locations. It reminds me a lot of wandering the Southern reaches of Utah and some areas of Arizona.

My trip to Jordan was covered by the country of Jordan, but they never asked me to show you these beautiful photos, that was my idea.
