Photo Of The Day – Spyhopping Gray Whale Mama

Spyhopping - Photo Of The Day

Title: Spyhopping Gray Whale Mama

Location:Bahía de Magdalena, Baja California Sur, Mexico, North America

Description: Spyhopping is when a whale noses out of the water just far enough to place its eye above the waterline, thus letting it spy around at what is happening above the waves.

This curious gray whale happens to be a mother whale and was getting a good look at our panga boat.

Shot while on assignment with UnCruise Adventures.
