Title: Roadside Stand Along The Dead Sea
Location: Dead Sea, Jordan, Middle East (31°35’54” N 35°33’39” E)
Description: A roadside stand just above the Dead Sea sells the basics for locals and tourists alike. Officially the lowest point on the face of the Earth, the Dead Sea has been losing ground at the rate of about three feet per year, growing deeper and deeper. Floating in the waters is a unique experience as the salt levels make it impossible for a human to sink without external effort (even turning over is difficult). In the distance in the image is the shore of Palestine.
