Mount Rainier And Seattle At Sunset

Title: Mount Rainier And Seattle At Sunset

Location: Double Bluff Beach, Whidbey Island, Washington, USA

This shot is a stitch of 8 photos taken at 300mm.  The original image is over 17,000 pixels wide but I have cropped it to the above photo for easier printing.  I shoot most shots a bit dull knowing I can bring out the natural colors in the computer.  In this case, after stitching the photos together with hugin, I first brought the white point in from the right to nearly half way (that’s how dark this image was because of the polarizer and exposure setting).  I increased contrast a bit and increased saturation only slight.  The above photo is an accurate representation of just how beautiful it was last night on a cold, clear evening in the Puget Sound.

Just now getting around to old Stumbles. Great shot of Mount Rainer. I visited Seattle last month for the first time and it was so much fun. Gorgeous city.
