Title: Just Two
Location: Mukilteo, Washington, USA, North America
Description: What I like about this image is it reminds me of my wife.
When this photo was taken we had been dating for about three months and the relationship still had the wondrous newness to it. You know the feeling. I was crossing between the mainland and Whidbey Island and noticed these two pilings alone in the morning fog. In the summer there is a dock lashed between the pilings, but the in the winter they stand alone.
I snapped a quick photo and sent it to my girlfriend, who eventually warmed my soul by marrying me a couple of years later. For me the photo had that feeling of new love, where you two feel inside your own world sometimes and all else seems like a fog.
And yes, she does read these posts. Hello Nimmi, I love you! π
