Title: Inside Out Of The Ferry
Location: Between Mukilteo and Clinton, Washington, USA, North America
Description: For the tech minded out there, I recently switched to a new Canon 7D Mark II from my old Canon 7D (which is now a nice backup and wide angle camera as I only own two lenses). Eager to test out the new camera, I shot the image you see above to test its dynamic range.
Before the camera arrived I dove into the normal comparison websites and while their information is helpful, it never really does it for me. I want to shoot and see what the camera can do.
I don’t know what the actual dynamic range of this camera is and numerically, I don’t care. I care what it looks like and to find its limits so I can work within them. That’s the reason for this inside/outside shot taken from one ferry boat looking at another. It works for me (with a little editing, to be expected) and I am happy as pie with the canon 7D Mark II!

For a while I am going to ask for your assistance in helping those in Nepal rebuild their lives. Average citizens don’t have insurance and I would not trust the inept and corrupt government to help where it is needed most.
I am going to focus on two non-profits I know have ties in the country (read: employees with families who understand where funds can help the most) for my pleas for assistance.
The first is Planeterra, a non-profit run by G Adventures. The second is the Paldorje Sherpa Foundation run by Sherpa Adventure Gear. Both of these charities are run by their parent company, who covers all their overhead so that 100% of donations go to those in need. Both of these companies do the right thing and care for the people of Nepal greatly. Both have funds set up specifically to help quake victims.
Please consider donating today.
