Photo Of The Day – Getting Ready For The Everest Marathon

Everest Marathon

Title: Getting Ready For The Everest Marathon

Location:Namche Bazaar, Solokhumbu Region, Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal, Asia

Description: When was the last time it took you over a week to trek to the start line of your marathon? Here we have guests from over a dozen countries heading up to Everest basecamp for their run down the trails. I don’t know of any other marathon that makes you walk the route, backwards, before you start. This one does have the advantage of being almost entirely downhill. More info here.

Join me in 2019 and 2020 for Photo Tours to Nepal and Bhutan! Your choice of either trekking or less-strenuous driving tours. Details can be found on my Photo Tour site Far Horizon Photo Tours, or just reply to this email and I’ll be glad to send you more information.
