Title: Frozen Lake Snowshoe Camping
Location: Steven’s Pass area, Washington Cascades, USA
Description: Much like yesterday’s idyllic sunset, this scene sure looks nice, doesn’t it? Warm looking tent, no people for miles, a soft hush to the forest as a storm clears.
What’s missing is the bitter, unrelenting wind. That type of wind that makes your bladder burst because you just don’t want to leave your sleeping bag in the middle of the night. They wind that leaves no shelter as you pack up your home and get ready to leave, but can’t leave yet. I love winter camping, I really do, but sometimes it hurts!
