Title: Cho Oyu And The Ngozumpa Glacier
Location: Gokyo, Solukhumbu, Nepal, Asia (27°57’17” N 86°41’45” E)
Description: Cho Oyu, like Mount Everest, towers over 8000m and straddles the border between Nepal and Tibet (China). The peak is first seen far down the valley of the Ngozumpa Glacier, which is shown on the right side of this image (it looks like a dirty hill as the glacier is receding and has become covered with dirt and rock). This image is shot on the ridge diving the glacier from five lakes along the upper part of the valley, as well as the village of Gokyo.
