I love how the run strikes Cho Oyu, the 6th tallest mountain in the world, which then casts its own alpenglow onto its flanks. See that area to the right side with the golden glow? That’s all from the main summit area catching the first rays.
It would take another half hour for the sun to catch up to our group, bundled up in many layers of down and woolen things (pictured here), down near the lake.
