Description: Makalu is the fifth highest mountain the world and rests in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and Tibet.
This view is from a flight between Nepal and Bhutan, which is, in my opinion, the best flight in the world if you get the correct side of the plane and good weather. Nimmi and I were more than lucky as we flew parallel to the tallest peaks anywhere on earth.
I enjoy the way Makalu stands apart from the others and makes for a striking portrait.
(TIP: if you’re flying from KTM (Kathmandu, Nepal) to PBH (Paro, Bhutan), choose a seat on the left side of the plane. Or switch that if you’re flying in the opposite direction. Sometimes you can’t pick your seat until 24 hours before the flight, so set a timer. It is worth it!!
