Sometimes you go to the human-made pond in the human-made park and are curious about the birds, thinking you’re not going to find a lot.
It’s not like National Geographic heads to Central Park in NYC for their footage.
But then you get a treat right in front of your face.
While meeting up with my friend Caleb this last week at La Mirada Community Park, we were a bit caught off guard when a couple of Double-crested Cormorants started making a fuss in the water after waiting patiently at the cement ‘shore’.
Turns out one of them had caught a fish and the other was doing its best to steal said fish.
Nature is Nature.
