I spend a lot of time on the road capturing footage for movie studios, TV shows and other productions for Overflight Plates (https://www.overflightdrivingplates.com).
The rig we use captures a 360° view around the car for use in green screen/LED driving situations and I thought it would be interesting to share the slice of the US I see on a weekly basis.
It’s ordinary and to me that’s the attraction of so much that I film for production use. You don’t want major car crashes happening right outside the window of a couple as they are supposed to be driving a bucolic backroad to a romantic weekend.
Think less The Fast & The Furious and more like, “Meh, whatevs”. The right kind of meh is what studios look for.
This is Volume 1 and I will certainly have more. We have over 7700 clips in our inventory, so there’s a lot to choose from.
