Description: I wish I had taken this style of image (and with perfect weather) 7 years ago when I first visited Dawes Glacier in Alaska with Uncruise Adventures. I’d be interested to see how much the glacier has retreated in that little amount of time.
Notice that little, sharp fin on the peak to the left? That’s the only part of these ranges that was not completed covered by ice in the last ice age. Everything else has been rounded and smoothed by the slow, strong power of the glaciers in the region.
