Back in 2008 I took a trip to Peru by myself and spent half a dozen days in the Amazon jungle.
Not on the Amazon itself, mind you; I was technically on the Madre de Dios River, but it is all Amazon-ish as far as I could tell.
The place I stayed at had a high up canopy bridge path from tree to tree. I so wish I was more into birding back then because I could have added a couple dozen birds between down low and up high.
