I don’t have a pretty little blog post of my 10 Best Photos From 2024! because 2024 kind of sucked, photo-wise. It didn’t suck life-wise, work-wise, or family-wise. All those other ‘wises’ were just fine and actually pretty damn good.
But it wasn’t until about halfway through the year that I got back my photography mojo. It had been waning for a while, and honestly, I was just happy to have an iPhone camera with me at all times and not worry about picking up my big DSLR. I did take the big camera to some nice places like Death Valley, but I really didn’t feel like taking it out all that often. Half of the pictures below are not from a DSLR.
Until maybe August. Sometimes photography is like that; sometimes you don’t feel like taking photos and you can’t force yourself to. But other times you kick yourself in the butt and get back to doing what you love, and I feel I am firmly back in the loving-photography camp.
With that being said, here are a few photos from 2024 that I either really enjoyed taking or I like how they look. They’re not my best photos because some of my best photos are private images with family and friends from things we did this year. But these are the best of my pretty picture photos that I enjoyed.
No big surprise here; a LOT are from National Parks.
