Close, but still kilometers in the distance, Mount Everest (Sagarmatha to local Nepalis)keeps watch over trekkers stopping to rest at a Buddhist Stupa along one of many trails through the Himalayas. Warm weather greets Fall trekkers but snows can arrive at any time, making trekking not just a walk in the park. At the elevation of this stupa, about 12,800′, travelers welcome any chance to sit, enjoy the view and catch their breath.
