Title: Panorama: Before Sunrise In Seattle
Location: Kerry Park, Seattle, Washington, USA, North America (47°37’46” N 122°21’38” W)
Description: Summer mornings are near perfection in Seattle. We don’t get warmth all year round so when Summer finally begins (some time around the end of July, usually) and the days are long, getting up early for photography is easy.
My friend Michael Riffle and I were up extra early, well before coffee stands were open (which is saying something in this coffee-Mecca town) and that allowed for extra time to set up and capture morning’s colors before the sun touched Mt. Rainier in the distance.
This view captures a lot of Seattle’s icons, form the obvious Space Needle and Mt. Rainier to the newer Great Wheel on the waterfront and the two sports stadiums in the far distance (while admitting I still miss the Kingdome sometimes….in the winter).
