Title: Tangboche At Night
Location: Tangboche (alternatively; Thyangbiche, Tengboche), Solukhumbu, Nepal
Description: This night shot is not an HDR shot. I know it looked like it, but the monastery entrance is lit from some outdoor lights off to the right, giving it a brighter look with the white balance set to 4000K to keep the mountain colors correct. The distance range includes Mt. Everest peaking (har har har….I know it’s spelled peeking) out of the middle. The star trails are created by a long 332 second exposure at ISO 100 and f/8.

Super nice image Peter. Digital or film? And how did you keep the noise down?
Great shot!
Digital. I used Lightroom’s normal noise reduction and ISO 100.
