The Badlands are located in South Dakota, USA and some friends and I visited them on our way from Seattle to Chicago on a roadtrip for a blogging conference. The conference was fun, but I would have spent more time wandering the barren looking lands. Camping would have been nice too as it was summer and not too overwhelmingly hot.
I also want to visit the Southern section of the park after reading this story “Will the Badlands become the first tribal national park?“. But that will wait.
For now, enjoy the scene on your screen and do a little more reading about the park. Maybe pay it a visit. It’s a national park for a very good reason.
