Description: I never had heard of Mt. St. Helens until it blew up when I was 7 years old. I still remember the mushroom clouds to the South as we pulled off I-5 just north of Lynnwood, WA, on our way home.
There, in front of my Mom and brothers and I, was a big cloud where there shouldn’t be.
That was almost 40 years ago and much has changed. It’s a living laboratory and wonderful education about how Nature changes and adapts.
And how it is firmly in control.
