So you have a question, do you? Maybe two? Use the form below to ask away. Be it about Photography, Travel or Parenting (three things I’ve been doing for a while and seem reasonably competent with), let me know what’s on your mind and how I can help. My goal with this page is simply that; to help people learn more. Please remember that I am a real human and not some automated script meant to spit out semi-randomness. It might take me a day or three to answer your question fully.
I’ll do my best. -pwc
Korinne Asks: I have a Nikon D90 with an AF-S NIKKOR 70-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G lens that came with it. I am interested in purchasing another lens, with more zoom, for wildlife and sports shots. What do you recommend? I don’t want to spend more than $2,000. Less would be even better. :) My Answer
B Asks: With about $1000 to spend, and a desire to shoot backyard wildlife as well as family candids, will a Canon T3i and 70-300mm lens work? I’m also thinking of getting a 2x Extender down the road. My Answer
Jen Asks: I’m planning of traveling solo to Macchu[sic] Picchu this coming April for the first time . I’m looking up places to get a permit and group tour to help me climb up the Inca Trail. Is there a suggested tour guide/group (for the trail) that you recommend and any safe and cheap places I can stay at? I’m not quite sure how to even get to Macchu Picchu (heard that one can fly to Cuzco and then get a train?) I’m debating of making this a 1 week or 2 week trip depending on your recommendations. My Answer
Gloria Asks: Going on a trip to Galapagos and Machu Picchu. I plan to take my Nikon D90 and one lens 18-200mm and a new nikon coolpix for underwater. Any other suggestions? My Answer
Gen Asks: Hi Peter! What would you suggest I do about taking a photo of the Burj Khalifa [the tallest building in the world located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates]? I want something different, not like all the pictures I’ve seen. Thanks! Gen My Answer
Chad Asks: I might take a macro class for “tide pools” in the next month or so. Do you have recommendation for middle of the road macro lens? My Answer
