Title: The Trail To Mount Everest
Location: Solukhumbu, Just outside of Namche Bazaar, Nepal
Description: Close, but still kilometers in the distance, Mount Everest (Sagarmatha to local Nepalis)keeps watch over trekkers stopping to rest at a Buddhist Stupa along one of many trails through the Himalayas. Warm weather greets Fall trekkers but snows can arrive at any time, making trekking not just a walk in the park. At the elevation of this stupa, about 12,800′, travelers welcome any chance to sit, enjoy the view and catch their breath.

This photo is truly incredible! I took photos on “the other side” in Tibet, and they did not even come close to this. This photo is pulling me to Nepal to get a different view of Everest…sigh!
