The Photographer’s Ephemeris is an awesome tool. Technically speaking, I came up with the idea before I realized someone had done it better than me, before me. I’m glad I didn’t go down that route because this free app, for Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad and hell, I think it will even run on your toaster, rocks. Hard.
Why does it rock hard? Case in point: I can plot a location in Costa Rica to show a full moon rising behind Arenal Volcano next month. I’m not sure if I can get to this location and have a clear view, but this tool lets me plot things I previously hadn’t thought about. I hope to get this shot in 4 weeks.
