It’s back!! Even if Summer itself is nowhere to be seen at the moment, I still desire fine Italian gelato and the company of great Seattle area friends. And even the ones that fly in from elsewhere!
Here’s the deal. Wait, no. There really is no ‘deal’. It’s as simple as: show up for gelato, be social with others. Last Summer’s meetups were a lot of non-scripted fun and I met a number of you crazies out there. And you all met each other. And the gelato! Yum.
Throwing into the mix this summer is the fact that I will be visiting Portland for a spell (and possibly Hawaii)(crap….And Boulder, forgot Boulder, sorry)(Costa Rica too) and will bring the gelato meetup with me. As you may know, the gracious and glorious Italylogue resides near the city and I’m sure we can rope her into pointing out a spot for a Portland meetup.

All Seattle based meetups will be at 7:30pm so you can eat something of a respectable dinner and don’t blame me when you stroll in and proclaim that I, somehow, am destroying your diet/waistline/health or any other life affliction you wish to blame on me. It won’t stick. Ballard has restaurants, use them. Gelato Responsibly.

Sabrina will be with me at all of the Seattle meetups except the first one in May. Kids are, of course, welcome. No rules, just gelato.

For Portland, I suggest either Mio Gelato or Staccato Gelato. Mio has few different locations and Staccato is over on NE 28th if I remember correctly. If I’m free, I’d love to join up. I love gelato!!!
