Take a look at the picture at right. It’s from D’Ambrosio Gelato in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. And it’s really the only reason I ever need to visit.
After some banter back and forth on Twitter, I’m scheduling a Fun-Filled Summer Of Gelato Meetup Craziness!!! It’s pretty simple, really. We’ll be meeting up at D’Ambrosio’s one night each month all summer to eat, nay, savour their fine treats. And since today is the first day of summer, that means four chances to meet other people in Seattle who are also crazy about gelato!
This meeting up thing really has no framework other than show up at the particular time to meet other random people and eat gelato. Wow, I’ve said gelato a lot in this post already. I sure hope I get massively indexed as being the gelato king for his one geltao post about gelato? Huh? Indexing doesn’t work if I just type gelato a lot? Damn it!!

That’s right! It’s the “Who The Heck Are These People” of Seattle Internetdom. So come on down to Ballard to join in the pure socialness of eating gelato on those balmy Seattle nights! (or pretend it’s balmy and eat gelato anyway) Any and all are welcome. There is no agenda. There is no sign up. There is no reason, other than gelato.

I have always wanted to reach a level of pseudo-non-fame, and now I have.
Also, if you say “gelato” enough times, it ceases to mean anything. Gelato. Gelato. Gelato.
I am so excited for this! I won’t be there on the 29th, but hopefully my work schedule (and a lack of traffic on 520) will align for my attendance at the rest of them.

I’m in Italy right now, and will still be there for the first meet up. But I’ll have gelato here instead.
I’ll try for the August date. I’ve heard good things about the gelato served at that place, and have talked about giving it a try, so with all of you guys, it’ll be perfect.
Will try to make one of the meet-ups. I tried their gelato a few weeks ago — it’s fantastic. Not much interior seating though.

Well I may be in Seattle the first weekend in October. Hopefully you can squeeze in some gelato time that late in the season. If not then I will just have to eat it alone.
A friend just told me about this and I’m excited to say that my wife has found a babysitter to give me the night off from the kids. So, I’ll be there.
