agreed — but still, it’s fun to look at.
They have similar ceramics in Tunisia. I bought a dinner set but a lot of it broke in the dodging newspaper wrapping as I tried to ship it home. We still have some plates and bowls and they’re very pretty but now I’m worried about whether they used lead paint.
Though this says Tunisia banned lead paint in 1922.

It was the pottery shops, not the other more kid-friendly stuff that mesmerized my kids in Turkey. Nice shot!
It certainly is eye candy, but seems like no local would likely get anything there. Or maybe their homes are adorned with colorful things as these. I don’t really know.
