The Carey Adventures

Summer is in full swing at The Carey Adventures!  And the travel bug has not only bitten, he’s taken a large chunk my sanity with him.  Just back from a six day offroading trip through Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, I’ve got two days to pack for my next month of travel, which includes:

• An 8 day roadtrip with two fellow travel bloggers to Chicago for Travel Blog Exchange 2009.  The trip, dubbed TBEX Road Trip, can be followed here, complete with a bitchin’ map mashup that will include our location, photos, tweets and more!
• 4 days in Chicago for TBEX.  Most days I’ll be adventuring around the city, looking at pretty things and taking pictures.
• 2 Days in Pennsylvania to catch up with my daughter and visit family.
• Australia.  I’m not sure why, but something in Australia was calling to me and I don’t mean on my cell phone or Skype.  So I’ll be spending a dozen days in Brisbane and surrounding locations to see what’s what and listen to those zany accents.

Upon returning I’ll be chilling for a bit, but then plan on hitting at least one more road trip with my daughter to either Canada, California, or some other western state.  Not that Canada is a western state. That came out all wrong.  Sorry Canada, I like your accent as well!
