Quick Feed Stats Hack

Ok, it’s not really a hack.  It’s just a way to see how many subscribers a particular site when they don’t advertise it themselves.  This only works if the site uses Feedburner (owned by Google) but since 80% or more of the blogosphere uses Feedburner, odds are with you.

All you have to do is replace the site’s name from their feed in this link http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/TheCareyAdventures?bg=CC3300&fg=FFFFFF&anim=1 .  That link is for the little animated counter you see at the top of this post and on the sidebar to the right.  You’ll see TheCareyAdventures in there, that’s this site.  You can find the link you need to copy and paste from by clicking on the “Subscribe to my Feed” on the site in question.  Using the same example, you’ll be taken to this site http://feeds2.feedburner.com/TheCareyAdventures .  That part after the /, that is what you want to copy and replace from the first link above.

Here, give it a try!   Find a site that uses Feedburner and see if you can figure out how many subscribers it has!
