Temple of Lights

Title: Temple Of Lights

Description: Again, I am naturally drawn to historical structures.  This is Fairmount Water Works (Also known as the Philadelphia Waterworks).  It served as the primary pumping and sanitation station for the Philadelphia Water Department from 1822 to 1909.  Now it is a restaurant and museum, but it stands as one of the city’s great landmarks.  It is also one of the most beautiful places to see the city skyline at night.  Behind it is the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which boasts one of the largest art collections in the world.  This area is easily the cultural backbone of the city.
