Upon a suggestion from Gary from Everything Everywhere, I think it’s time to redesign The Carey Adventures blog layout. I’ve been toying with the idea for a bit and now, in the coming month, I’ll be experimenting with the layout of the blog.
Don’t worry, you’ll still get the Photo Of The Day delivered in the various means it’s available. What I hope to accomplish though is increasing the size of the photos. People like bigger photos and right now I have a width limit of 450 characters. Looking at the stats for July, 77% of those who visited this site have a screen resolution of 1280 pixels wide or more, meaning most who visit can handle a wider sized site.
I’ll do most of the testing off the main site, meaning you won’t see the changes day to day until one day BAM!! Bigger photos and a new layout.
I’d like some help with the process of picking a likely candidate. If you’d like to be in on the beta test site, I’d love to hear your opinion on what works and doesn’t. Just drop me a line at peter@thecareyadventures.com and I’ll include you on the list. All I’ll ask you for from time to time is your opinion while I tweak things and nothing more!
