Have you checked out Help Peter Cook.Com?

A small push for one of my other sites, helppetercook.com.  No, it’s not a site to help out the Monty Python actor (who also played the priest in The Princess Bride ) it’s a site to help me cook better.  I started it with the idea that it’ll help me take a realistic point of view on cooking.  I don’t aspire to most of the shows you see on TV or the internet, I’m not that kind of cook.  But I do enjoy it and I do have food in my kitchen, so why not make it fun!

The premise is simple, each week I post four ingredients I have in my kitchen and then you, the internet viewing audience, have 24 hours to come up with a recipe.  You may use up to two of your own ingredients (which I go out and purchase) and there is an assortment of spices and herbs and kitchen items listed that may be used, ‘free of charge’.  More info can be found on the How It Works page.  When it’s all done I post the winning recipe and video tape the creation process (still a learning process for me).  Last week was a lot of fun as Sabrina, my daughter, helped with the filming and taste testing.

This week’s challenge will be from the road as I’m heading to San Francisco for a couple days.  It should prove a challenging mix!
