Quilomene Offroad Adventure – Day 4

080706-090526-7515 Day 4 of the Quilomene Offroad Adventure doesn’t have much to it.  It was a packing up and heading home kind of day.  As previously noted, some people were a bit slower in the morning than others due to a lot of fun the night before.  080706-093052-7525 The Millers and Williamsesese’s’ headed out early while the rest of us took our time breaking camp.  Kim took the kids around on an impromptu scavenger hunt an Dan explained the fruity looking things from the trees were in fact walnuts hidden inside.  You learn something new every day.  Kim also got the kids picking a whole passel (minus a scoch) of loganberries, organic too!

Cody got a practice behind the wheel of the Defender in the wide  open space and did a mighty fine job not hitting anything important.  The drive out on Army Road was equally bumpy but this time we were greeted with a view to the wind farm.  Did I mention I really like wind farms?   We stopped for a lunch break in Rosyln where it was hard to find a place willing to seat all 12 of us in a reasonable time frame.  But the good old Roslyn Cafe finally opened up some seats before not too long and bellies were filled with delight.  After lunch, homeward bound.
