This site caught my eye the other day. Interesting idea and it’d be cool if it was useful the way couchsurfing.com is useful for travelers. It’s called hitcharidenow.com and started in August with the simple idea of trying to connect people needing a a single or multiple rides with drivers. There are a number of rideshare site out there for commuters, but this one caters to people just needing a quick trip. While being mainly California focused there is a growing user base all around the US.
