I’ve added some more blogs to the blogroll. “What’s a blogroll?” you ask? And should there be two question marks in that sentence? I’m not sure on the second answer and I only figured out what a blogroll was myself when I started this blog. It’s a little sidebar widget thingy where you can post links to other blogs you read. Thus, if you check your own blog it’s easy to bounce over to other sites of interest. Here’s the rundown on a few I’ve added:
Brave New Traveler – http://www.bravenewtraveler.com/ RSS Feed
With a host of travel writers regularly contributing, this round up site offers some great writing with fresh content daily. This is a great site to gain knowledge of life on the road with practical advice, tips and updated information. The array and talent of the writers makes for compelling content which I check almost daily. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite sites to read. Weekly “Best of” roundups will give you hours of entertaining, educational and inspirational reading. Also available as an email subscription.
The Oasis of My Soul – http://theoasisofmysoul.com RSS Feed
Join Ara and Spirit as they travel the USA on a BMW motorcycle and sidecar. Spirit is a dog, so Ara does all the writing. On the road for over a year and with a ton of pictures in every post, Ara pours a lot of himself into his posts to give you a great feel for the location and friends he’s met along the way. It’s one of the few sites I’ve ever made a donation to as he really gives back a lot of what he’s learning and seeing.
Jeanne Leblanc | Coach Class – http://blogs.courant.com/travel_columnists_leblanc/ RSS Feed
If your looking for good travel deals and updated information on the air and cruise industries, Jeanne has a pile of stuff to help you out. Frequent updates written in an a casual but not sloppy manner make this blog easy to keep an eye on if you frequently take to the skies.
the traveler’s notebook – http://thetravelersnotebook.com/ RSS Feed
Regular contributions from Matador’s quality travel writers with all kinds of tips on world travel, many times with a ‘green’ slant to them. Frequent posts and often roundups make for informative reading on a daily basis. I haven’t been reading this one long but it’s becoming a favorite.
