As some of you may or may not know, Kim and are both planning on trekking in Nepal this October/November. Kim has gone twice now with the same group of Sherpa and has had wonderful life changing experiences both times. This time around I’ll be able to go and am looking forward to it!!
Kim has been working at recruiting anyone interested in trekking in Nepal as she is the trek leader this year! I was the first willing recruit and we received an email today from Mistie that she is the second! We were both excited to receive this news the day after Christmas and it helps kick start our efforts to recruit people willing to undertake this adventure.
Some notes on the trek, if you’re interested in joining:
- The trip will be in October/November of 2008
- It’ll be approximately 24 or 25 days total, 17 of those will be trekking
- The trek will be in the Khumbu region of Nepal, otherwise known as the Everest Region
- This is a classic Himalaya trek, with altitudes reaching 18,000′ at times
- The Sherpa guides were born and live in the region
Please let us know if this sounds like your kind of adventure!! More posts later on what you might need for such an endeavor and what to expect.
