We made a day trip into New York City today after sitting around most of the morning and afternoon.
Richard dropped us off on 67th and East Central Park around 4pm and we quickly found the statue of Balto the dog, which is something Sabrina really wanted to see. After that, and playing at a playground in Central Park for a bit, we walked south to the end of the park and then West on 59th.
After mistakenly taking the subway in the wrong direction, we managed to catch a cab down to Battery Park and catch a view of the Statue of Liberty at night from the shore. After that we headed over to the Statten Island Ferry terminal to use the bathroom, get some hot cocoa and catch the 1 subway north back to Time Square.
When the found Kim a scarf at a street vendor and on over to the Port Authority for the 167 bus back towards Cari and Richards.
It was a fun adventurous day and we learned a few good things about moving around in New York which should help on my next couple of trips to the city.
