5pm 11/24
We are back from our second and last day in the park. It ended well without massive breakdowns and only a frown or two. Sabrina and Capri got to meet Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, we rode the cars at Autopia and went out on Tom Sawyer Island. My goodness it was a busy day for being Thanksgiving, but it was nice and suny and not too hot.
The day started out kinda slow with some frumpies when we got in the park. But then after stopping at the Penny Arcade to pick up some sugar (gummy Disney characters and a lolly pop) and making some squished pennies, it was off down Main Street. We first went to the Riverboat Cruise which the kids liked. After that we took a raft over to Sawyer Island and did some running around. Sabrina didn’t like the cave at first and wouldn’t go, until I took her hand and we realized it wasn’t that scarey and she got better at it. I was left remembering when my brother Ryan, who shall remain unnamed, got closterphobic in the caves and had to turn around and get out on one of the staircases. It gave Sabrina stength to know she was tougher than one of her Uncles. :-)
Then we played around some more but the fort was closed. :-( Back on the mainland we caught some lunch at the French Cafe which was ok. They had turkey if you wanted and pumpkin pie, but we had some other food. After that we journeyed over and met Aurora while waiting in line to meet Snow White. I took a good picture and will post it later.
Then over to Futureland to see what was what. Space Mountain had a 70 minute wait with a Fast Pass time of 10:50pm so that wasn’t going to be done. We went over and got the Fast Pass for Autopia and headed for the Monorail. A wait of 10 minutes and we took our trip around the park which the kids liked. After that we stopped by the shop at Autopia and Sabrina spent the $5 Grandma gave her on two keychains (one of Mickey and one of Minnie)
When that was done we went to Autopia and were done in 30 minutes, our best time in the park from entering to leaving, I think. After that we had high hopes but the kids were fading and eventually we settled for heading back to the hotel for some more pool time and beer.
And that’s where I sit…..the kids playing with their toys, the Moms figuring out what to order (pizza) and the Dad’s loafing around, enjoying it all.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Well, I am glad to see that Sabrina was braver than one of her unnamed uncles, and I am glad that uncle is not me.
